A Midway that seems a bit light on for pace and depth. That said three-year-old colt KILBRANNAN (a half-brother to Fireburn and Kintyre) might be Rosehill Guineas/Derby bound if he can win this. Impressed running on from tailed-off last off a fast speed to win a BM64 in quick time in December (he was five lengths off second-last at the 600m). The sprint home over 1200m fresh was no guide. ICEMAN found winning form at the end of last campaign and resumed with a good second (fourth-fastest last 200m of the meeting). Not sure coming back 100m is ideal, but STARPHISTOCATED looks ready third up. EMBRACE THE WIND is another progressive three-year-old worth keeping safe. GEEMES is on the up, 1500m fresh gives her a chance, betting a good lead.
