IFFIDIDIT (5) hardly ever runs a bad race at this level when fit, and his 4 starts this season have produced 4 top 3 placings in a row, including a second at Kumara a fortnight ago. He has won 3 times on this course, and though he has yet to figure in the top 3 over the trip, he is well placed to break that duck here. SMOOTH OPERATOR (11) has been mixing his form this season, and just battled into sixth at Wingatui nearly a month ago. The key here will be the addition of blinkers, and a form reversal would be no surprise. CAPO DELL IMPERO (2) charged home late when finishing runner-up in the same race as the third pick last time out. He always does well on this track, and with 3kg less to carry here, thanks to a claim, he can go one better. OCEAN LIGHT (4) failed to fire in the Kumara Nuggets 2 weeks ago, but he is better than that, and will drop 3kg for this assignment. The big track here will suit him, so allow him another chance at odds. ROYAL VALOUR (9) can run top 4 here.
