CONTEMPLATION BAY (6) was poor last time out on a heavy track and has since changed stables. She has had a quiet trial since that last start effort in the spring, and is nicely placed down in class here. If she doesn't need the run, then she is the one to beat. MY SHARONA (11) won third up in the South Island when clearing her maiden status at Cromwell in her penultimate start before repeating the dose at Ashburton by a head a month ago. The hat-trick beckons. GIRLS LIGHT UP (2) is a very consistent mare resuming from a spell with a trial under her belt. She normally needs a run, but from the pole position with a 3kg claim, she can figure in the top 4. THE ENTERTAINER (3) is another consistent mare at this level, and she will be resuming without a trial, but has performed well fresh up in the past. If the track is wet, then she will be an each-way threat. POGACAR (9) is a very progressive gelding resuming from a spell with the blinkers on. He has some barrier tricks, but can win.
