The Southside Pakenham 1400m has been a happy hunting ground for THE NEGOTIATOR. From 5 starts, he's won twice and finished 2nd once. He had tempo against in a stronger race at Sandown last time but he ran well. On paper, there appears to be a lot more speed in this race. It's 7 weeks since promising 3yo STORM LEOPARD won his maiden at Geelong. He's had two 800m jump outs since. He maps very well. Down the track, he'll be better than this grade. MISS KASEI led at a genuine clip here last time and held on well. GIBRALTAR TYCOON's only win was at her only start here over 1400m. She ran through the line well 2nd up. BETWITCHERY was below her best 2nd up after a solid return. No chance that ends the chances.
