Another small field where all can be competitive. OTAGO finally has some luck at the barrier draw. He's had wide runs his past two at 1600m. The box seat looks likely here. THE WESTERN FRONT and MOMETZ beat him home at Flemington with softer runs. They have to be winning chances too. As a 6yo LITTLE COINTREAU tackles 1600m for the first time. He's had two starts at 1500m and finished 3rd both times. With that in mind and his finale 2nd up, the 1600m should be ok. C Newitt takes over the ride on BLUSHING TYCOON. He's got a poor winning strike rate but Craig was the rider for his last win. No shock to see him sit outside the leader and make an early dash for home. BLACKMAX produced a much improved effort last time. Out to 1600m should suit him now. Still unsure if 1600m will suit EMPRESSIVE ENUFF but there's no doubt he's got the class when at his best.
