SOL DE OTONO (7) ended her last season in some good form, and resumed with a solid effort for fourth here nearly 3 weeks ago over 1200m. She steps straight up to a mile, and her first overdue win is not far away. DAMIANO (1) finished second fresh up, before only battling in a far stronger field at Trentham nearly a fortnight ago. He has a good draw and will finish a lot closer this time, especially over a mile. SUBSONIC (2) made up late ground when finishing third fresh up at Whanganui, and he will be a lot sharper with that run under his belt. He stays at a mile and can figure in the top 3 again. DARREN MICHIE (3) had a good trip and stuck to his task well enough when finishing fifth at Whanganui last time out. He benefits from a kilo claim this time, and another honest effort is on the cards. Each way value. LUCKYTOBEHERE (10) has mixed her form, and is having her first start from the Clint Isdale stable. She has a good gate, and is worth including in all top 4 combos.
