On pace runners, 2, 4, 5, 8. FIOPROSPERO will appreciate a drop in class after an even effort within this distance range last start at Port Macquarie. He has established a solid record here at Newcastle. LENSMAN endured a tough run in transit before he finished unplaced at Taree and when in the process, he did indicate that stepping up from 1600m will now aid his cause. DANCE DANCE DANCE should not be harshly judged for an unplaced latest effort at Port Macquarie when he was outclassed. He is anything but outclassed here. C'MON FLYER can cause his own problems with a poor getaway but even so, he was a winner within this distance range at his only Newcastle outing to date and he should be treated with respect against the awaiting opposition this afternoon.
