ROCTAVE (2) bounced back into form when finishing second in a good field at Trentham a fortnight ago. He has drawn a handy gate here, and in a field that is not as deep, he can go one better this time. CRACKERCOL (4) has been in work for some time, but this season has been his best. He was beaten by a slow tempo and a wide gate at Te Rapa last time out, and in this sort of field, he can figure in the top 3. Don't drop him yet. THE TRENDSETTER (12) will be backing up quickly from a last start third at Ta Rapa a week ago. She was a BM65 winner at Ruakaka before that, and she is worth including in all top 4 combos. SONORAN (13) has been mixing his form, but this assignment looks like his kind of race, and he has sound each-way claims at a price. GIACOMO (1) is a durable veteran who has a good record on his home track, and he will give his usual good sight in front again. Stick with him.
