STOLEN MAGIC (4) won fresh up over a mile at Ascot Park 10 days ago, and it is very encouraging to see her backing up 10 days later over 2000m. She is up in weight, but can repeat the dose. MASTER MARKO (1) had an excuse when failing to fire in the same race as the top pick. He is normally very consistent, and with a return to a middle-distance, he is worth another chance. Each way value. COMPLICATE (6) has been battling since failing to fire in the NZ Cup in the spring. She is much better than that, and if she gets a soft lead this time, she could take some pegging back. Each way value. MAMAEA (13) had a very tough trip at Wingatui last time out and faded out of it as expected. Her form prior was good, and she can make amends. Stick with her for all top 4 combos. PEACHY KEEN (5) has been freshened since winning by a nose at Cromwell 9 weeks ago. She has had a tune-up trial since then, and can give this a shake.
