MARIA PILAR (9) built nicely to a well-deserved win by a nose at GORE 6 weeks ago. She has a nice gate this time, and if she doesn't need the run, she can win again. BAKHITA (7) has been mixing her form and ran a solid third at Ascot Park just over 7 weeks ago. She prefers some cut in the ground, and should be right in the finish again. SAILOR GIRL (4) followed up a narrowly beaten second at Ascot Park with a tough head win at Riverton a month ago. Her other win was on this track, and even from a wide gate, she can produce another honest run. STEEZY (12) cruised home to an easy maiden win at Kumara just over 3 weeks ago, and she has the scope to repeat the dose. OUR CLARRY (3) did not fire at Riccarton, and the smaller circuit here is more to his liking. He has the speed to cross and lead this field, and he will take plenty of pegging back this time. Stick with him.
