OMNIC comes here with two gutsy runs at the track over the distance and beaten under half a length in each. Keeps finding when asked. Last run was a two horse war with third placegetter five lengths away. BELLABAMA scored a very easy win last start coming off a month break into 1600m so rise in distance unlikely to be a factor. Previous placing was against horse who then performed in metro midweek class. KIWI JENNI moved home very nicely at the end of 1600m (best last 200m of the meeting) so looks ready for the longer trip and has a good foundation of runs for it. PRINCESS SAKIKO peaks at run four and back on the turf. Last preparation found good form over 1600m prior to spelling. HAWK POWER is definitely better on soft tracks than the true heavy decks. Strong 1600m winner in higher grade last start and no problems with the extra trip as a 2000m performer. RAGAZZONE goes well for Hurdle and came through a useful race last start.
