MELBOURNE BOY ran well in open 2yo company on debut finding the line well. Winner Blind Raise then won at Listed level and went around a $4 chance in the Group2 QTC Sires. Claim is helpful. MARRON ran solid figures on debut and was touched off in the final stride here over 1425m. Better for the experience at the track and longer trip looks ideal. FOXTROT CHARLIE led and was game in the Marron race last start. Fitness levels at peak for this. CARRY TRADE has an awkward gate, but sat wide without cover last start and battled on well after the hard run. ROCKZINO was sent out long odds-on favourite last start when stepped up 300m in trip and raced up in the lead. Potentially a better chaser, like in debut run. DIESEL DESMOND stuck on well in first run for almost a year. Fitter again and D. Lane sticks with him.
