SILVER PLEDGE did a great job at Moe when stepped up up to the 2447m off a five week break. Got keen, raced wide without over, made an big early move and was just nabbed in second run from a spell. Wide margin to third. Honestly most would have dropped right out. Gear changes will help him relax. OMAMORI has an awkward draw, but is helped by 3kg claim. Very fit with good exposure to races in this distance range in town. Down in grade, placed here three runs back. CHATEAU VEGA looked winner in the straight until last 25m when Winter Grace sizzled home late. Best on-pacer in race by about 2 lengths. Natural improver on that as she was up from 1728m to 2200m and will better adjusted to middle distance tempo with that run under her belt. GENRICHERO went well in town last start in higher grade and seems back on track after not stretching out properly in previous start on this track. Has solid 2400m runs in way stronger races previous preparations and loves an inside barrier. WINSTON goes well here. Might be suited by the slower tempo of 2400m race being a solid on pace runner.
