Looks competitive race with a few finally getting back on the firm track. BLACK PEPPERMENT was too keen when stepping up sharply to the 2400m with 61.5kg. Big drop in weight and more seasoned to run the trip this time. Has a liking for firmer ground. SCHULTZY has an excellent record over 2400m in recent starts and one who has been performing at this grade in recent starts at a metro level. BIRATU found the line nicely over 2046m last start and has the services of Williams for 2400m debut. Sure have improved off last run which was only third up. CHIHULY has shown versatility in two runs over the trip and down and draw to get a good passage here. AUTUMN HEAT will be an improver back on dry track.
