Very hot weather expected so we should be working on a good track. There isn't a lot of pace here with Slane likely to lead, but with the small field, nothing is likely to be too far away. TAKEN has been freshened since being outclassed in the Supernova. He is much better suited here. MERRIGOLD backs up after a strong win over 1600m last Saturday. VERDAD just missed over this trip at Geelong. SMOKIN' PRINCESS didn't come up in the spring. Her previous campaign was good. MILFORD drops to 53.5kg after Jackson Radley's claim. This is the lightest weight he has ever carried.

Caulfield Racecourse, home to the Melbourne Racing Club, is located 8 kilometres southeast of Melbourne's CBD. The track has a circumference of 2080 metres and a 367-metre home straight. It hosts the Caulfield Cup, as well as many other premier race meets.
