Casterton was rated Soft 7 when acceptances were taken on Thursday. Fine weather through the weekend though so we could be poised for an upgrade or two. We get it going with a 1000m Maiden. 4, 7 and 10 were also in at Warracknabeal on Saturday. It looks as though 4 and 10 have chosen this race and KHADIRA will come out. MONEY HONEY was solid on debut now returns from a break after winning a mid August jumpout. MAGNUM has had four jumpouts since late June and won the latest - a little 600m job over the back at Geelong - by leading. GETAWAY has had five overall, two recently. The latest was here on Heavy 10 on August 10th and he was basically a close 2nd of 5 throughout with Tom Madden on.

Casterton Racecourse is located in southwest Victoria. The track hosts Australia's only live hedge steeplechase races. The Casterton Racecourse holds four race meetings per year and fields are limited to 14 runners for all distances. It has a 1460-metre long track and a 350-metre straight.
