BODLEIAN (2) set the pace fresh up here just over 3 weeks ago and was too slick, scoring by almost a length. He will be better with that run under his belt, and from the pole position, he will again take some pegging back. MARIA PILAR (14) clung on by a nose when winning her maiden at Gore 2 starts back and then had no peace in front last time out when weakening to finish near the rear. She is worth another chance. PULL THE PIN (7) has raced her way back into form and caught the eye with a late finish for third at Wingatui last week. She is rock-hard fit, and even from a wide gate, another bold run is expected. Each way value. ZIGGY STARDUST (13) has found it hard to win another race, and relocated from the North Island before her last start, fifth at Wingatui 4 weeks ago. She needs luck from a wide gate here, but she is still capable of a top 4 finish. SYMPATHIQUE (9) is another who has found her best again with 3 placings in her last 3 starts. She has a good gate, and can feature.
