EYE ON THE BALL (1) went forward last time and battled on gamely to finish just a nose from the winner in second over 1400m at this track when returning from a layoff. Drawn to advantage. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. LUMINA VICTOR (10) last appeared three-and-a-half weeks ago over 1400m at Kanazawa when he finished second. This is his first run for the Yutaka Kawashima stable. Worth plenty of thought. SALT MIRACLE (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.75 lengths over 1500m at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing.
