INTERMEDIO (12) resumes as the horse with the strongest overall profile, despite ending his last campaign with an eighth as favourite at Nakayama Dirt when beaten just over eight lengths. His previous second in ALLOW company behind Batard reads well for this, and his two placings from five tries at this track and distance keep him firmly on top fresh. EDWARD BAROWS (4) has the cleaner recent run, having resumed with a third at this venue behind Fun Time Gift, beaten just under two lengths, and his repeated placings at this track and distance make him a serious danger. POTTERING (8) brings a class-drop angle after a sixth in COND grade at Urawa and is better judged on the level he has been racing at, though his win record asks for some restraint. AMSUMAT (11) was only fair last start after being near the top of betting, but his track-and-trip win and stronger third at Nakayama Dirt two runs back give him enough substance to rebound.
