PURPLE TOWN (13) resumes with the strongest exposed profile after finishing fifth at Niigata, beaten just under four lengths by Kimuken Shisa after leading and being run down late. Her debut was also at Niigata and she was big odds both times, so there is scope for her to return a more complete filly. SPICA TESORO (16) has not placed in two starts, but his latest sixth at Nakayama still rates well for this field and the Keizo Ito yard adds genuine weight to his case. IDEAL CUT (8) backs up quickly after a much closer seventh at Niigata, only three and a half lengths from Sanono Kiseki, and he also brings the deepest race experience through the G3 Niigata Nisai Stakes. TOWER RAVEN (15) resumes off one plain debut run at Sapporo, but he was not dismissed in betting there and still has enough upside to be treated as a winning chance if he returns sharper.
