AOI MIZUHO (2) was well fancied last start over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt when fourth, beaten 5.5 lengths. Draws in close for a change and this presents a great chance for a breakthrough win. LORD CLOSER (6) stepped out on his debut over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt three weeks ago and finished fourth, beaten 1.1 lengths. Better for the run and can improve enough to give this a shake. SEVEN WONDERS (15) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1800m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 6 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner. Heading the right way and should soon discover winning ways. SUPER HIGHWAY (13) turned in a moderate debut over 1600m at Nakayama on December 14 when he was safely held in sixth, 6 lengths from the winner. Plenty of scope for improvement. Can lift.
