Impropéria (5) is the one to beat on profile. She has won two of four, is unbeaten in two starts at this track and was a clear winner at this venue two runs back before finishing second as a short odds-on favourite at Nakayama. DEMPSEY (4) brings the most appealing recent race fitness, having been beaten just over a length at Nakayama after picking up well, and his broader record of two wins and three places from eight starts keeps him right in the contest. SPE LUCE (3) was beaten three lengths as a well-supported favourite at this track first-up, but his track record, strong jockey association and prior G3 exposure give him a solid platform. CARLOTTO (7) has been close up at both recent runs, winning a Mdn at Chukyo then closing well for sixth at Kyoto, and his distance record makes him a genuine place-and-upside chance.
