SUNRISE ROY (1) is the horse to beat after restoring confidence with an eight-length C2 win at this track, where he was heavily supported into very short odds-on territory and beat Wonder Ange. The Sapporo Dirt run prior was plain, but his return to this venue and distance produced a decisive turnaround and he retains the winning rider. ALUM BAY (10) is the clear danger, having won first-up at this track over the same trip, charging home from well back to beat Iikuni Passion after starting near the top of betting. ADMI (5) brings the strongest depth at the distance, with one win and six places from seven starts, and her latest third behind Sun Linaria was a sound return to form. KNOCK SHRINE (3) was run down late when second to Sun Linaria and had earlier beaten Kirakirari over this course and distance, so he is a genuine place-and-upside hope if that first-up effort brings him on.
