IDEAL MATCH (9) sets the standard off a solid C2 second at this track, beaten two lengths by Lambeau Leap after knuckling down late. His previous win came as odds-on favourite in C3 company, and the combination of a proven track-and-distance record and Wataru Hirose staying aboard gives him the clearest winning profile. INGRID ROSE (3) is the main danger, having won easily in C3 grade before holding third in C2 company, with her record at this track and distance a genuine asset. A SHIN JIKOKUTEN (4) bounced back strongly when third over 1230m, beaten a length and a half at generous odds, and his overall place record keeps him right in the contest. BLEU VERT (1) has to be treated as a place hope rather than a leading win chance after a heavy last-start defeat, but the five-length C3 win two back and strong track-and-distance history give him enough to stay in calculations.
