PACKING FIGHTER (8) has taken his form to another level since joining Danny Shum, finishing last season with an impressive course-and-distance win. He faces a rise in class, but has performed well at this level in the past, and from a good gate, he will be hard to hold out. FLYING KNIGHT (13) should improve sharply second-up and the return to 1600m looks ideal after finishing eighth over a shorter trip fresh. He maps to get the run of the race from the pole position, and can win this. SHAMUS STORM (11) had little luck in the run last time but should get a run to suit from a superior draw this time. He trialled well and should be hitting the line strongly late. Keep him safe. AMAZING PARTNERS (1) resumes with top weight but he seldom put in a poor effort last season and he usually comes to hand quickly. He is always a top 4 chance at this level.
