LITTLE MONSTER (4) tried hard, and peaked late fresh after being trapped wide without cover from a wide gate, sticking on gamely to finish fifth and not beaten far. He has a superior draw here, and should get a much softer run this time. He looks the one to beat. APEX GLORY (8) had little go right first-up after missing the start and finding traffic in the straight, yet was close up at the finish. Zac Purton takes over and despite the tricky draw, he has the ability to take this out. JUST FOLLOW ME (10) made progress last season and has trialled well for his return. His handy barrier gives him every chance to settle in the right spot, and he looks a solid each-way chance. NAVAS G (7) showed enough last prep despite encountering trouble on several occasions. He has a sticky gate, but should be kept safe in all top 4 combos.
