MACHEON MAMA (9) sets the standard after improving from a debut second into a COND A win at this track, scoring as favourite by just over a length over 1200m. She is one win and one place from two starts, is already proven at the distance, and looks the most reliable of the lightly raced hopes. UNICORN ACE (2) is still a maiden, but three placings from four starts and a narrow COND A second two runs back give him a solid platform, even if he was beaten six and a half lengths as favourite last time. B WORK (6) brings the sharper last-start margin, having won a COND A by five lengths at this track and distance, and the class drop keeps him right in the contest. HIGHLIGHT (8) is harder to trust after being beaten over 14 lengths as favourite, but his debut win over Unicorn Ace at this track keeps him in the mix if he rebounds.
