MOONGATE HERO (5) has the right profile to go one better after stringing together a win and two placings at this venue. He was beaten five and a half lengths by Ari last start as a well-supported favourite, but he remains proven at this track and distance and draws to get every chance. ARI (1) is the obvious danger after putting five lengths on Sabah Win at this track last start, and his start-prior third behind Royal Commission adds depth to the recent form. The top weight is the leveller, yet his track-and-trip record keeps him firmly in the mix. WINS EIGHT (7) was disappointing as favourite over 1020m last week, but his previous second to Shadow Dancer reads well and he has multiple wins at this track and distance. BLUEJAY (12) improved into fourth behind Ari last start and is capable of running into the placings if he holds that level.
