QUANTUM STAR (5) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 2600m at Hakodate, scoring by 3.5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Daisuke Sasaki was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Big chance to go back-to-back. WONDERFUL DAYS (2) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.5 lengths from the winner in second over 2600m at Hakodate after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. TAKERU FOCUS (6) has solid form this campaign including a fast finishing win over 2600m at Hakodate last time. Same journey this time and expected to be among the main hopes. GRAN ALTO (4) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 31 lengths back in fourth over 2600m at Hakodate. Can feature in the finish.
