DRAGUIGNAN (8) was fresh from a spell last time out and making his first appearance over the obstacles. Handled the transition nicely on that occasion to finish 9 lengths away in third in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin. Expecting another big run. LAPIN RAPIDE (12) resumes from a spell of three months. Had just the one run last campaign, finishing sixth in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura. Has ability and looks a definite danger. LAUGAVEGUR (1) is on debut over the jumps and has not raced since February 22 when he was beaten 7 lengths into 12th on the flat over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt. Sure to be well-schooled and is going to be hard to beat. POINT CULMINANT (3) was unplaced two back in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama then again missed out in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin last time. Deserves another chance.
