Look for a bold run. SHALLOW FIRST (10) has not appeared since he scored over 2400m at Hakodate Dirt on July 12. Led throughout to win over this trip before a break. Comes here with definite top-three claims. MAD GALE (5) was safely held when seventh last time out over 1800m at Niigata Dirt, beaten 7 lengths, after a win at Tokyo Dirt at the previous outing. Worth plenty of thought.
