LOKAHI (1) built on a nice second two starts back at Chukyo Dirt with a win over 1800m at this track four weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Fujioka scored on him last time and retains the mount. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. SOUL AND JAZZ (12) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a nice race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.5 lengths over 1800m at this track. Yet to miss the placings from four starts at this circuit. Enjoys a drop in grade so he is all set to build on that latest effort. RED BOB (2) improved sharply on his fourth two starts back at Chukyo Dirt with a win over 1800m at the same venue two months ago, getting home by half a length after being in contention on the bend. Looks well placed so expect another big run. MANA ETRE (8) ran below expectations last time at Kokura Dirt, finishing 15th. Worth another chance.
