LORD VULCAN (5) could only manage fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1200m at this track, beaten only a neck after being in the firing line on the turn. Looks well placed and overdue for a win. Expect another big run. SAMMARU NOVEL (6) will strip fitter for this after running below expectations first-up at this track, finishing 13th and beaten 8 lengths over 1400m after being prominent at the turn. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. DANON MONTE ROSA (1) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found a couple better over 1200m at this track, beaten only 0.8 lengths. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. CHIMNEY PIPE (3) scored a commanding victory at Chukyo Dirt over 1200m at her latest appearance on August 23. Comes here with definite top-three claims.
