CLAUDIAI (4) hasn't been far away lately, last time out finishing just 2.75 lengths back in fifth over 1800m at this track. Settles back early but winds up late. Will be tough to hold out. HAGINO PIACERE (9) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 2000m at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. ALENTEJO (5) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a 11th over 1800m at this track. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and seven minor placings. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot return to winning ways. HO O TRUMP (2) returns from a spell of ten weeks and did win first-up last time in work over 1400m at Sonoda. Makes plenty of appeal.
