TAISEI RESPONSE (11) is taking on the jumps for a second time after finishing fifth at his first attempt in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata two months ago, beaten 7 lengths. Looks a great chance this time. SEIUN PURSUIT (2) was fresh from a spell last time out and making his first appearance over the obstacles. Only managed to finish 9 lengths away in fifth on that occasion in a maiden steeplechase (3000m) at Tokyo. Expect him to pose a serious challenge with that experience on board. SEIFU SATSUKI (9) was returning from a layoff last start when beaten 13 lengths into seventh in a maiden steeplechase (2970m) at Hanshin. Deserves another chance. MEISHO TOM (6) was unplaced two starts ago in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata then produced a better result last start when he wound up in fourth, beaten 7 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2890m) at Niigata. No surprise to see him in the finish.
