HIRUNO BOLOGNA (9) gets the nod off the Sapporo Mdn form, where he was third two back and then worked home fairly when eighth, beaten five lengths, behind Meisho Tenjin. He is still winless, but this looks a more suitable assignment and the class drop gives him the strongest winning case. KOKORONO HIKOBOSHI (6) has the best recent Kasamatsu profile after a four-length win from Miss Marigold and a second to Asakusa Diana, with his track-and-distance record adding further substance. PORTER CHANCE (11) is the fitter third-up runner after fighting hard when second to Kataphraktos last start, though the maiden record tempers confidence slightly. HO O CHARLES (4) brings a win and a second from his past two, returns to a winning distance, and has enough current form to press for a major share.
