HANG ROSE (4) brings the clearest profile after successive competitive Mdn runs at Nakayama Dirt, beaten just over a length two back and then two lengths when third to Mikki Thousand. Her record at around 1400m is all placings from three attempts, and the class drop gives her the right platform despite this being her first look at this track. TOSHO CLOUD (3) is the main danger on consistency, having worked home evenly for third at this track last start and carrying a strong 12-month record into this. BEST TANGO (1) is a genuine place hope on the quick back-up, with two recent fourths at this venue and a long record of hitting the frame around 1400m. SEKKACHI CANE (5) resumes from five months off, and while his last run before the break was plain, his earlier B1 third and proven 1400m record give him an outside chance fresh.
