SKY CAP (9) went back-to-back before dropping back to 1000m last start and missing by 1L as the race favourite most recently. Moreira remains in the saddle and the gelding has good early speed to offset the tricky draw. Back to 1200m is a big tick and he can return to winning ways. GIANT BALLON (3) made it a hat-trick of wins last start when sitting on the speed as the race favourite and winning by 0.2L. Purton remains in the saddle and while he does rise in weight, he is a progressive commodity. Should be handy in the run once again and be tough to gun down. STORMING DRAGON (7) sat on the speed and was too strong last start, scoring by 1L. He's trialled strongly since and he has options from the draw stepping back up in grade. Drops in weight and can repeat the dose. FLYING WROTE (6) missed behind Giant Ballon last start and that form looks strong for a race like this. Can go one better with a touch more luck this time.
