SUPERB KING (3) is knocking on the door of a maiden victory, beaten 0.8L at this track and trip most recently. Bowman hops on board now replacing the apprentice hoop and he should be up on the speed from the inside barrier. Rises in weight now but finds the right race to bring up his first win. THUNDER PRINCE (8) won impressively here two back before a 2.3L defeat at this track and trip most recently as the $2.50 favourite. Purton remains in the saddle today and he's expected to improve with a better barrier on offer. Can sit just off the speed and make a statement late in the race. THE HEIR (5) is usually around the mark, finishing 2L off the winner most recently after settling well back at Sha Tin. His form here prior was very good and Moreira sticking with him is a positive sign. Should get every chance from the draw. MEOWTH (2) is another who is racing well without winning and has to be included with the Blinkers on first time.
