LE ZONDA (7) is the horse to beat after stringing together consecutive wins at this venue, most recently as a well-supported favourite when scoring by a head over 1650m. His record with Vincent Ho is a major asset and two wins from four starts at this track and distance give him a strong platform at 1800m. TALENTS AMBITION (4) brings solid recent form of his own, following a Class 3 win at Sha Tin Aw with a second to Definitive 10 days ago, though the 1800m record is less convincing. SILVERY BREEZE (5) was plain first-up behind Le Zonda, but his prior Class 1 third at Sha Tin reads well for this and Zac Purton going on keeps him firmly in the mix. MASSIVE SOVEREIGN (2) was big odds when fifth behind Le Zonda, yet he made ground from a long way back and his overall record is sound enough to make him a genuine placing hope if he holds that improvement.
