Importantly, he's trialled well at this track and won that heat with Purton on board. Maps beautifully and can make a statement on debut. GALLANT DESIGN (2) has the exposed form, having been beaten half a length as a short odds-on favourite at Sha Tin, and his record of five placings from eight starts keeps him firmly in the argument, even if the win column remains empty. UNSTOPPAPLE (6) was beaten only a neck at this track when resuming and now draws barrier 1, so he has upside in a thin winning-form race. MR DESIRA (1) drops from C3, has won at this track and distance, and only has to recapture his better HAPPY VALLEY form to be right in the result.
