ESPERADO (5) turned in a fine effort to score by a nose at today's course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is right in contention. EXCELLEN ARTHUR (7) is close to breaking through after finishing second last start over 1300m at Saga when he was always up in the leading division. Meeting a deeper field this time but he good enough to play a major role. REYES (2) was a determined winner two back then raced on the speed last time before finishing third over 800m at Urawa. Will drift back but wind up late. Winning claims on best figures. CANDY BOUQUET (4) is finding the breakthrough elusive, beaten 5.5 lengths into fifth at her latest appearance over 1000m at this track. Should camp just off the leaders. Deserves respect on best figures.
