MAHONEY ROAD (9) is a seven-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Juan M Cano yard. Hasn't raced since finishing seventh at Turfway Park (Synthetic) four months ago. Not seen at the trials but goes well fresh from a spell, filling a placing four times from 10 runs. Bold showing expected. OUR DETERMINATION (5) proved too strong two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 1408m at this track, beaten 20 lengths. Well placed and can make amends.
