MIENO BRAVO (7) brings the most reliable recent closing form, having run third at Niigata last start after getting busy late and fifth there before that when beaten just over a length. She has been respected in the market at both recent runs and her record of placings without winning is the only tempering factor, not enough to knock her off top. BELFAST (9) resumes with a very consistent profile: two wins and eight places from 17 starts, plus five placings from six tries around 1200m, and her fourth at Hanshin before the break was sound enough. EVER LAST (12) has to put a beaten-favourite run behind him, but the previous Nakayama third beaten just under a length reads well and he has already beaten Lucero Azzurri. LUCERO AZZURRI (8) resumes as a proven track-and-trip winner, with one win and two places from eight starts at this track and distance, and her recent margins leave her close enough to rebound strongly.
