SUMMER AGAIN (6) has the most reliable recent jumping form, having finished fourth at this track before running third at Chukyo, where he worked home evenly and was respected near the top of an open market. The 2750m record is not a positive, but his overall profile still looks the strongest. NAVARATNA (1) is the clear danger after a much sharper Chukyo third, beaten a length and a half by Meisho Soseki, and barrier 1 gives him a good platform if he holds that form fresh. NISHINO BLAZEST (10) is race fit and trending the right way, improving from eighth at Nakayama to fifth at Kyoto when he worked home well, so he has the right campaign shape to keep building. ARENARIA (5) has to rebound from a heavy Chukyo defeat, but her earlier Kyoto run was better than it looks after she led and was only run down late, and her broader career record gives her some place appeal.
