NAMURA RODIN (5) is a 10-start maiden who was prominent throughout last time and stuck on well to finish second over 1200m at this track. Drawn to go forward and in a modest affair looks a big chance to break through. GOLD ARCH (15) did little and finished 13 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1400m at Hanshin Dirt last start after being in the firing line on the bend, a less impressive effort than his fourth on debut at Kyoto Dirt the run before. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. CHO STAR (7) is a seven-start maiden who is well and truly overdue, finishing third at this track over 1200m last time out after being in contention on the bend. Has to be included in calculations. HAPPY LION (11) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1400m at CHUKYO, beaten 8 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
