TIMBIMBOO (3) led from this barrier and stuck on for a 3.5m second when resuming over this distance then made good progress last time, drawing wider but working to the front before going on to score by 1.5m at this circuit. Should be better again third-up and can take advantage of the good draw to prove hard to catch. JET ROCK (4) was terrific in his first outing for more than two years when beaten less than 3m at Maryborough. Bound to be fitter for that and is unbeaten when second-up so improvement looks likely. BIG SLEDGE HAMMER (6) got back on track when leading and digging deep to score at Ballarat last time. Draws a little wider but that last victory was his fourth success from his last six starts and he owns a good record at this distance so must respect. ROYAL APPOINTMENT (12) cops a tricky draw but is working towards a win having worked but stuck on for a 1.6m second at Bendigo last week.
