DO IT (3) has had six weeks off since he was outclassed in the Vicbred Super Series 4EG Final but his other efforts in that series had merit, beaten only 3.8m in his heat and placing in a semi. Aided by a good draw and has won three of four attempts at this distance. EARL OF PEMBROKE (8) has taken on stronger opposition since he came from this row for a win at Mildura last month. This is a much more suitable assignment and he won the only time he attempted this circuit and distance. PESCI (10) put together a string of wins and placings before tackling a stronger race last time. Scored from a similar barrier to this three back at Melton and races well here. AMPHIJET (11) may need luck from this barrier but the form is hard to knock having recorded two wins and two seconds from the last four starts. WATTLEBANK ARNIE (9) found winning form two back at Melton before coming from this row for fourth last time and is a two-time winner at this venue.
