BEACHBREAK (9) is back from a break of four-and-a-half months and looks to be right up to the mark following a recent trial win. Drawn to enjoy a nice run, with luck possibly playing a role at some point. Likely to run a big race to kick off this campaign. BLAZE LIGHTENING (7) recorded a strong performance last start when he battled on bravely to just miss out over 2400m at Central Southland Raceway. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position. Must raise the bar but a win is not out of the question. OUR TWINKLE (5) is the next best after finishing runner-up over 2400m at Central Southland Raceway last time out. ALWAYS BE BOOTIE (10) disappointed last time but is a chance based on a good second over 2200m at this track two runs back.
