Morocco vs Haiti Prediction

Morroco vs Haiti

Morocco have been one of the stories of this World Cup so far, and they’ll fancy wrapping up Group C in style against a Haiti side already packing their bags.

The Atlas Lions drew with Brazil and then stunned Scotland with one of the fastest goals of the tournament, Ismael Saibari finding the net after just 71 seconds. Haiti, meanwhile, sit bottom of the group with zero points and zero goals scored.

This final group match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta shapes as a mismatch on paper, and there’s every reason to think it plays out that way on the pitch.

Morocco only need a draw to guarantee progression, but with goal difference potentially deciding who tops the group ahead of Brazil, Mohamed Ouahbi’s side have plenty of incentive to put their foot down.

Haiti have conceded four goals across two matches and created next to nothing going forward. It’s a dead rubber for the Caribbean side, and the quality gap is enormous.

To celebrate the momentous occasion that is the World Cup, Sportsbet is bringing back its exclusive Super Sub feature!

How does Super Sub work? Well, it’s very simple. Place a bet on select player markets throughout the Men’s World Cup and if that player is subbed off your bet rolls over to the new player that replaced them.

For example, if you’ve bet on Kylian Mbappe to score during one of France’s matches and during that match he fails to do so and is directly substituted for Jean-Philippe Mateta who ends up scoring instead, your original bet on Mbappe is paid as a winner!

Super Sub is not exclusive to goalscoring markets either, it also applies to anytime assist, player to win one or more fouls, shots on target and more, just make sure to read all the T&Cs before locking in your bet.

Morocco vs Haiti prediction

Morocco win and over 2.5 goals is where we’re landing here. Back the Atlas Lions to cover both legs of this multi comfortably.

Morocco’s attacking depth is frightening. Brahim Diaz, Achraf Hakimi, and Saibari have all been lively through the group stage, and even if Ouahbi rotates a couple of spots, the bench strength is still well above Haiti’s best eleven.

The motivation is clear too. Brazil play Scotland simultaneously, and Morocco will want to keep pace on goal difference in case top spot comes down to the wire.

The over 2.5 goals angle is supported by everything we’ve seen from Haiti’s defence. They shipped three against Brazil on Matchday 2 and looked stretched for pace and organisation throughout.

Morocco’s movement and width should cause similar problems, and as our Morocco vs Haiti betting odds page reflects, the Atlas Lions are firmly favoured here. Whether Haiti nick one themselves is debatable given they’ve been blanked twice running, but Morocco scoring three or more on their own is a genuine possibility.

Before you think about potentially backing Morocco, have a squiz at how to bet on the World Cup to sort your markets, then check the rest of the World Cup betting odds to see where this one sits.

Player markets to watch

Our pick: Brahim Diaz to score anytime.

The Real Madrid playmaker has been pulling the strings for Morocco all tournament. He drifts between the lines beautifully and Haiti’s midfield has shown zero ability to track runners in the half-spaces. Against a side with nothing to play for, Diaz should get the chances he needs.

Our pick: Ismael Saibari to score anytime.

Already the owner of one of the fastest goals at this World Cup, Saibari has been electric off the bench and could easily earn a start here.

He’s direct, he runs at defenders, and Haiti’s backline has been carved open repeatedly. The PSV man looks a genuine threat every time he enters the pitch.

Our pick: Achraf Hakimi to register an assist.

The PSG full-back’s overlapping runs have been a weapon all group stage. Haiti will likely sit deep and invite Morocco to attack wide, which plays directly into Hakimi’s hands.

His delivery from the right channel has created multiple chances across two matches, and against this defence, at least one should be converted.

Our pick: Duckens Nazon to have one or more shots on target.

If Haiti are going to produce anything at all in this match, it’ll come through their all-time leading scorer. With the pressure off and nothing to lose, Nazon could play with a bit more freedom.

He’s got 44 international goals to his name, and even in a lopsided contest, backing him to at least test the keeper once feels fair value.
